REPAIR OF HOUSE POSTS AND PIER PILINGS

Funding needed: 10K + 20K

 

Two phases 10K for the land version.  If successful and deemed likely to succeed in shallow water:

20K for the "water" piers  procedure

time to conclusion of phase one: 2 months

time to conclusion of phase two: additional 2 month

 

OVERVIEW:

The proposed repair will utilize composites of CARBON FIBER  and various resin systems.

The proposed methods will allow repairs without excavation.

Carbon fiber composites are easy to shape, waterproof and "hundreds" of times stronger than wooden posts.

The installation procedures ON LAND and in SHALLOW WATER need to be developed.

My house has one bad post needing repair. It will serve as the PROOF OF CONCEPT for the "land version" . Phase ONE.

If deemed likely to succeed in shallow water, a simple barge will be constructed to facilitate the "proof of concept" test in shallow water.

It is assumed that there will be "plenty" of pier owners in the local area who will allow tests.

Pier repairs are potentially needed much more, therefore likely more "sellable", however the "proof of concept" will take extra efforts.

After proper documentation  the design can be utilized by employing a small crew or by  licensing the procedure  to companies engaged in repairs of these structures and supplying them with the CARBON FIBER repair components.

Success probabilities land version: HIGH

Success probabilities water version: HIGHER

Financial return:  The investor(s) will receive 49% of any proceeds if sold or will receive ROYALTIES if our own crew is used.
